Financial Operations Assistant

  • Understand client attributes and rates
  • Post time/disbursement data imported from various systems into the Financial system
  • Oversee electronic download and changes of personnel records into Finance system
  • Analyze client billing agreements and alternative fee arrangements (AFAs)
  • Adhere to firm billing and collection policies when opening new client
  • Cross train with other team members to assist with coverage
  • Generate monthly SSRS and financial system reports
  • Assist Conflicts Team as needed
  • Assist testing upgraded software as needed
  • Assist with Matter Maintenance and New Business Intake
  • Assist with Finance Department projects as needed
  • Self-Starter must have 2 years’ experience in a law firm ( desired )
  • Must the ability multi-task. Will work with members in the Billing & Collections Managers, Pricing Analysts and Finance Directors
  • Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in legal industry with knowledge of financial software, preferably with Aderant Expert Software
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Broad based knowledge and skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, including Word and Excel
  • Electronic filing of work in a document management system or Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Prioritize rush requests and resolve quickly
  • Attention to details and work product accuracy
